Sky

After the storm had spent itself the light
crept out and stretched and spread across the yard.
The frightened sky unfolded its tight crouch.
It stood up straight and tall and opened wide
to let the wind out, let the sun soft-splash
the fuchsia's fallen heaps of blood-red flowers.
